Pre-Athletic Training Concentration

The Pre-Athletic Training concentration is designed for students who are interested in pursuing a career as an Athletic Trainer. The curriculum includes courses that are required as pre-requisite courses for entry into a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) Masters of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program. These pre-requites meets the established standards set by the CAATE for all accredited graduate programs. Students will gain knowledge and skills that will allow for a smooth transition into an entry level Master's program.

In the internship course, students will observe licensed Athletic Trainers in numerous fields. These observation hours are a requirement for entry for a number of MSAT programs across the nation.
