Teacher Residency

Because certified Health and Physical Education teachers in Louisiana may teach in grades K through 12, teacher candidates are required to complete assignments in both an elementary school setting and a secondary (middle or high school) setting.

Candidates with a concentration in Health and PE Grades K-12 will be given school assignments by the Office of Teacher Clinical Experiences (OTCE) once all requirements for the yearlong Teacher Residency have been met.
