Clinical Experience for
Health Promotion & Wellness

A clinical experience of 3 credit hours (KNES 335) is required in the Health Promotion and Wellness concentration area. The clinical experience gives the students the opportunity to participate in hands on learning skills related to Health Promotion and Wellness. Students visit various health promotion agencies to gain knowledge of what health promotion is all about.

Some of these agencies include Lafayette General Wellness Center, Southwest Louisiana Area Health Education Center, American Cancer Society, Woman's Foundation, Inc., Acadiana C.A.R.E.S., American Heart Association, and Horizons.

Prerequisites for the clinical experience include a 2.5 gpa.

Visit Ms. Benedik (jrb8386@louisiana.edu) and/or Dr. Lyman (halo@louisiana.edu) for more information about the clinical experience.
