ULL KPA Represents - The Department of Kinesiology was well represented
by Kinesiology Professional Association members at the 2008 Louisiana Health,
Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (LAHPERD) Conference. Thirty
six ULL majors attended the Baton Rouge conference in November to attend
workshops, professional presentations, socials, and to run for LAHPERD
offices. Unofficially, ULL had the largest number majors present at the
conference for any Louisiana university.

Congratulation to Dr. Praphul Joshi who will receive the 2008 LAHPERD
Taylor Dodson Award. The Taylor Dodson award goes to an outstanding young
professional in LAHPERD.Dr. Joshi will be honored at the LAHPERD Awards
Luncheon which is on Friday, November 7th '08
